Commawise Terms of Use

Using Commawise means you agree to these terms.

1. What Commawise is

Commawise is daily speaking practice on the web. You answer a short question out loud, and it shows your pace, filler words and pauses with one piece of advice. You can say it again and compare, practise a comma drill and follow your progress.

2. Who sells what

WaveApp LLC makes Commawise and provides the subscription. Link, LLC is the merchant of record through Stripe Managed Payments. Checkout shows the total, including any tax. See the refund page.

3. Your licence

You may use Commawise for your own practice. The licence is personal and non-transferable; we keep every intellectual-property right in the service. You must not share an account, resell access, scrape or overload the service, or get around the free-practice and subscription checks. You must not use Commawise to break the law.

4. Your content

  • Your recordings, transcripts and practices stay yours. We use them only to run Commawise for you.
  • Record only yourself, or people who agreed to be recorded.
  • What we hold and for how long is in the privacy policy.

We claim no rights in your content.

5. Paying

  • Without an account you get one free practice: a question, your readings and one piece of advice. Saving the result needs an emailed code, Apple or Google.
  • The subscription adds the daily question, saying it again with a comparison, the comma drill and progress. It costs $59.99 a year or $12.99 a month, tax included. There is no trial.
  • It renews automatically every year or month until you cancel. We email you 7 days before a yearly renewal. Link, LLC emails a receipt for every charge.
  • A switch between yearly and monthly starts at your next renewal. Nothing is charged at the time.
  • Cancel in one tap on the plan page. The subscription then ends at the close of the paid period and is not charged again. We email a confirmation.
  • Refunds follow the refund policy.
  • When a subscription ends, your practices, transcripts and progress stay, and you can download them. New practice stops.

6. Not speech therapy

  • Commawise is practice software. It does not diagnose or treat stuttering, cluttering, anxiety or any other condition.
  • If you describe a medical concern, the advice points you to a speech-language pathologist. Commawise promises no result.
  • Readings come from an automatic transcript. A missed or extra word changes them, and you can report a reading you think is wrong.

7. Fair use

Each account can score 10 practices a day. A recording runs from 15 seconds to 2 minutes.

8. Changes and availability

We change questions, features and scoring between releases. We do not promise that Commawise is free of defects or always available.

9. Ending

You can stop using Commawise at any time and delete your account. We can suspend or end an account for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, or a security or legal risk, with notice where we reasonably can.

10. Warranty

We provide Commawise as is. Readings and advice depend on the recording and the transcript. Where the law gives you a warranty we cannot exclude, that warranty stands.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, WaveApp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. We are also not liable for the outcome of an interview, talk or conversation you practised for. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for Commawise subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

12. Law and disputes

These terms follow the law of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of the place where you live still apply. Write to hello@commawise.com first. Most problems are settled by email.

13. Changes to these terms

We email account holders before a material change takes effect and update this page. If one clause cannot be enforced, the rest stand.
