How a practice goes
Answer one question out loud
A real one, for an interview, a meeting, a talk or a first date. Speak for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
See what you actually said
Your transcript with each um, uh and like marked where it happened, your pace, and the pauses you left clean.
Fix one thing, then say it again
One change, quoting a line you said. Answer again and see both tries side by side.
Three readings, counted from your words
Fixed rules count the numbers from the timing of each word in your transcript. The AI only decides whether a like or a so is filler, and writes the one piece of advice.
Pace
Words per minute, with the silence before and after you speak left out. 130 to 160 is comfortable.
Filler words
Um, uh, er, like, you know, basically, actually, so, I mean, kind of. Like and so count only when they are filler.
Commas
A pause of half a second or more with no filler next to it. You see what share of your breaks were pauses, not ums.
